Late-Diagnosis Integration Intensive
A Two-Day Therapy Intensive for Adults Integrating a New ADHD or Autism Diagnosis
Available in-person in Arizona and virtually throughout Michigan
You have a diagnosis… Now what?
Finally understanding yourself can change everything.
Receiving an ADHD or Autism diagnosis later in life often brings relief, validation, grief, confusion, and questions about identity all at once.
Many people find themselves revisiting their entire life story through a new lens:
Why was everything so hard?
What was masking and what was really me?
How do I make sense of decades of misunderstanding?
What changes now?
The Late Diagnosis Integration Intensive offers dedicated therapeutic space to process these questions and develop a more compassionate, coherent understanding of yourself.
Serving adults throughout Arizona and Michigan.
Why a Two-Day Intensive?
Weekly therapy is valuable, but the adjustment process following a new neurodivergent diagnosis often involves layers of insight, grief, relief, anger, and self-discovery that can be difficult to fully explore in fifty-minute sessions.
A focused two-day intensive allows us to slow down and create space for:
Identity integration
Processing grief and loss
Understanding masking and burnout
Reframing life experiences through a neurodivergent lens
Reducing shame and self-blame
Clarifying needs, boundaries, and accommodations
Developing greater self-compassion
Nervous system regulation
Common Themes We Explore
Clients often come to intensives asking:
→ Who am I if I've been masking for most of my life?
→ What would my life have looked like if I had known sooner?
→ How do I reconcile relief with grief?
→ Why am I suddenly remembering things differently?
→ How do I communicate my needs to others?
→ How can I stop blaming myself for struggles that now make sense?

How We Work
This intensive incorporates experiential and trauma-informed approaches tailored to your needs, including:
Brainspotting
Learn more about Brainspotting here:
Brainspotting at Rose Matrix Counseling
Brainspotting can help access and process emotional experiences that may be difficult to fully articulate, allowing deeper integration beyond cognitive understanding alone.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS helps clients explore different parts of themselves with curiosity and compassion, including parts carrying shame, perfectionism, self-criticism, grief, or exhaustion from years of masking.
Together these approaches support meaningful integration rather than simply intellectual understanding.
