So what is a Therapy Intensive?

A therapy intensive is a structured, short-term deep dive that condenses the work of months into one or two highly focused sessions. It’s ideal for clients who want to resolve persistent trauma symptoms, move through stuck emotional patterns, or fast-track their healing using Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Unlike weekly therapy, intensives allow for:

  • Sustained emotional focus without disruption

  • Full nervous system engagement in a single session

  • Faster breakthroughs for trauma, anxiety, and performance blocks

If you’ve plateaued in traditional therapy, or you simply don’t have time for long-term weekly work, therapy intensives are a time-efficient, evidence-informed alternative.

How Brainspotting & IFS Intensives Work

Each intensive includes:

  • 80-minute intake session (virtual or in-person) to set goals and prepare

  • 3-hour Intensive Block using Brainspotting and IFS-based somatic work

  • 30-minute integration session to debrief, ground, and process what’s shifted

Additional 3-hour blocks can be added as needed based on your goals and nervous system capacity. Sessions are available in-person in Chandler, AZ, or virtually throughout Arizona and Michigan

UNDERSTANDING THE INVESTMENT

Weekly Therapy vs. Intensives

Healing takes time — and it’s also an investment of emotional, energetic, and financial resources.

Many people work with a therapist weekly over the course of one or more years, which can be a powerful and steady path for growth. Others find that concentrated, extended sessions help them reach meaningful breakthroughs more quickly.

For example, ongoing weekly therapy (around $250 per session) over the course of two years often totals more than $20,000.

By contrast, an intensive model offers the same depth of work in a shorter timeframe — typically through extended, focused sessions designed for deep processing and integration.

A typical three-block intensive series is about $3,150 total — which includes the initial intake and first intensive block ($1,350) and two additional 3-hour blocks ($900 each).

For some clients, that concentrated investment of time and attention leads to faster integration and long-term savings, both financially and emotionally. The best choice depends on your goals, readiness, and nervous system capacity — and we’ll explore that together during your discovery call.
