Are you a sensitive, deep-thinking adult struggling with anxiety, overthinking, or a persistent sense of “not enoughness?”… You’re in the right place

I WORK WITH

  • Creatives and high-achievers who feel emotionally stuck, despite outward success

  • Individuals ready to unlearn harmful patterns and reconnect with their authentic selves

  • Neurodivergent adults navigating ADHD, late-identified autism, or chronic overwhelm

Therapy here is not just about coping. It’s about becoming more you.

Hi there, I’m Christina.

Licensed in Arizona & Michigan as a Certified Brainspotting Consultant and IFS therapist

For over two decades, I’ve helped adults navigate the messy middle of growth, supporting them in reclaiming self-trust, healing family-of-origin pain, and feeling more at home in their bodies and lives. My approach is intuitive, experiential, and relational. I work best with creative, introspective clients who are ready to do deep work.

If you’re tired of masking, people-pleasing, or carrying your past, I see you.

Let’s co-create a new story.

Christina Martinez, LCSW, Arizona therapist providing Brainspotting and IFS therapy for anxiety and perfectionism.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • In your first session, we’ll create space for you to share what’s on your mind and what you’re hoping to shift. Together, we’ll build a customized plan that fits your goals, whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or deeper self-trust.

  • I personalize every session based on your preferences, values, and pace. I integrate modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), allowing us to go beyond talk therapy and into real, embodied transformation.

  • Some clients feel major shifts after a few intensives; others prefer weekly sessions over several months. We’ll regularly check in and adjust based on your needs. There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline. Just consistent, compassionate care.

  • That’s completely normal. I prioritize emotional safety and go at your pace. Many clients start by exploring present-day stressors before digging deeper. We work collaboratively. Nothing is ever forced or rushed.

  • Yes! I’m licensed to provide telehealth therapy in both Arizona and Michigan. Whether you live in Chandler or Traverse City, you can access care from the comfort of your home.

  • I’m a private-pay therapist and do not bill insurance directly, but I’ll provide you with superbills for potential reimbursement. I accept credit cards, HSA/FSA payments, and partner with Mentaya, a tool that helps streamline your out-of-network claim submissions. You might be able to get reimbursed for out-of-network therapy! Check here: mentaya.co/b/Ed2YN1GnokUmQpBYPnFX

  • I create a flexible, sensory-friendly space, whether that means low lighting, fidgets, or a “video off” session. I never pathologize your neurotype. Instead, I work with your strengths, preferences, and communication style to help you feel safe, heard, and respected.

  • Brainspotting is a somatic therapy that helps release trauma held in the body by accessing eye positions linked to emotional processing. It’s especially effective for anxiety, unresolved experiences, perfectionism, and self-limiting beliefs, making it a powerful tool for trauma-informed healing.

  • Absolutely. Many of my clients are neurodivergent adults seeking support without judgment or pressure to mask. Whether you’ve been formally diagnosed or self-identified, you deserve therapy that understands how your brain works and honors it.

  • Not necessarily—and that’s okay. My work is designed for a specific kind of client who is ready for deep, experiential therapy. To help you decide if this is the right space for you, here are a few situations where my services may not be the best fit:

    1. In active crisis or needing a higher level of care
If you’re struggling with suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or severe substance use, you deserve more intensive support than I can provide in private practice.

    2. Looking for short-term, surface-level coping skills only
My work goes deeper than quick fixes. If you only want symptom management without exploring root causes, another provider may be a better fit.

    3. Rigid or resistant to creativity and introspection
Because I use experiential approaches like Brainspotting and Parts Work, clients open to curiosity, imagination, and exploring inner experiences often benefit more from my approach.

    4. Seeking structured parenting coaching or couples therapy
While therapy often supports people in their relationships and parenting confidence, I don’t provide direct parenting skills training or couples counseling.

    5. Expecting progress without effort between sessions
Therapy works best when you’re willing to reflect, practice new insights, and stay engaged with personal growth efforts outside the therapy room.
